Ingredients for preparing the paste:

  • Flour – 3 and a half cups
  • 3/4 of a cup liquid milk  should be (warm) 
  • 1/3 of a cup water should be(warm)
  • Vegetable oil – two tablespoons
  • Sugar – a tablespoon
  • Yeast – a tablespoon
  • Salt – a pinch 

Decorating ingredients:

  • Egg yolk – 2
  • Vegetable oil – two tablespoons
  • Yogurt – two tablespoons
  • Sesame – a tablespoon
  • Black bean – a tablespoon

The method of work

  • Use a bowl, then put the water, sugar and yeast.
  • Mix the ingredients well until they overlap, then add the milk, oil and salt and stir again.
  • Add the flour to the bowl and knead until you get a cohesive paste.
  • Cover the paste and leave it aside for about an hour until it ferments.
  • Roll the paste in a circular shape with a rolling pin on a surface spread with a little flour.
  • Put the paste on a greased oven tray with a little oil.
  • With a small sharp knife, draw a circular shape at the ends of the paste, then make long and horizontal lines until you get the shape of small squares.
  • To prepare the topping: In a small bowl, mix eggs, oil and yogurt. Grease the face of the paste with the egg mixture and spread sesame and black seeds.
  • Put the tray in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 25 minutes until the Turkish bread is cooked.
